If you are familiar with the work of
Alexander Girard then you will understand my excitement at acquiring this wooden doll from his series that has recently been made available by
Vitra.
I have had my eye on this set of dolls for a long time, and while bringing the whole set home is well out of my budget - for now I have my favourite "No.6".
He came in a gorgeous screen printed and numbered timber box, and he is handpainted. He also came with a beautiful little book outlining the history of the dolls and Girard's career. He is currently living next to my
Junzo Terada bear on the mantle piece, and he looks quite at home. STOKED!!
